Today’s intake.
Meet Pip.
This little 62g of cuteness was brought into someone’s garden by the cat.
They managed to prize it away and brought her to me.
Unfortunately the cat had broken the skin is 2 places so they have been cleaned with saline and treated with vetericyn.
She’s very underweight and is sleepy. She’s just had a big feed of chick crumb and now heading for a sleep.
The next 24 hours will be crucial.
She’s very young, so under heat with Squeak the pigeon
She was found in the area of Gracey Drive, Lurgan. If you are in the area and a hen is missing one of her chicks please contact us. Proof of ownership plus flock number will be required.
In the meantime we will give her the appropriate treatment for her wounds.

HELP NEEDED at the Rescue

We are very badly in need of Volunteers to come and give us a hand cleaning out coops and feeding all the animals here at the Nut House!
Our main cleaning day is SATURDAY
and that's when all the coops, stable, etc are given a deep clean but any time you can spare would be much appreciated.
Could any of you HELP us out?
We really are very short handed and would be glad of any time you could give us.
Please please consider it. It would be a great opportunity for you to learn all about the animals we have and how to care for them.
