Day 1 Chelsea flower show! Lots of inspiration, lots of lovely dresses, people but freezing!

Such a privilege for a small handmade business.

My first Chelsea corner stand, what do you think? Slightly wider and more room to move through. Gorgeous series displays from flowers from and my wonderful floral frilly displays by the lovely 😍🌱

I don’t show up for the first part of the year… and now here I am, 3 times in one week already 👀

My year definitely moves with the energy of the seasons. Like an unfurling perennial, slowly waking up. Although right now it’s probably powered equally by instinct and a mild dose of panic as I navigate floral commissions, sympathy flowers & wedding bouquet preservations before packing for Chelsea on Friday.

The house looks exactly how you’d imagine… pots, flowers, clay, half-finished pieces and botanical snippets everywhere. I’m currently sat with a mini wine in between rolling slabs of clay and deciding which print trays full of pressed botanical treasures make the Chelsea cut.

Ironically, although my stand is bigger this year, I’m actually losing wall space… so that’s a little design puzzle I’ll probably only truly solve once I arrive and start moving furniture around in a slightly delirious state 🌿✨

Apparently brooches are an “it trend” for 2026… meanwhile at Ceramic Botanist HQ we’re accidentally styling ourselves like botanical magpies while we should be packing for Chelsea. Sarah fully committing to the assignment 🤭🌿

I don’t really follow trends, so brooches have always been part of my world. Tiny wearable pieces of nature, little bits of sculpture for your coat, scarf or favourite old jacket.

My sister has worn one of mine for years until it finally broke, so she’s already claimed a fern replacement before they’ve even made it to Chelsea 👀

Which one would you choose? I feel like people are very revealing in their brooch choices… delicate wildflower people vs dramatic fern people 🌿

Anyway I have 4 wedding orders to get done before Saturday! So I am going to get cracking!
