Luna Hogs Chatteris Rescue

We are disappointed that we have to remind people do NOT kick hedgehogs. Even if you think you are helping them by moving them, this is NOT the way. We just had a hedgehog in who was witnessed being kicked into a hedge. It is currently at the vets being checked over but this is not okay. If you think this is okay, you need to do better.

How do you think a hedgehog would wear its football kit? Both kind of make sense!! ⚽️🦔

We are currently at full capacity for hedgehogs! We will stop taking in new hogs for the time being but are happy to answer queries or refer you to other rescues in the area 🫶🦔

The world cup is officially underway. We understand that alot of you will be getting into the football spirit and bringing out the nets to have a kick about. Please remember to lift your nets off the ground after you've finished! Hedgehogs can get tangled really easily and the injuries they sustain are catastrophic. It takes a few minutes, please lift your nets 🦔🥅

Remember Benny? Last week we had the wonderful honour to release her back into the wild! She had a long stay with us with rehabilitation and feeding but she made a great recovery and now is hopefully finding her own little patch in the world 🫶🦔
