🏉 Head Coach – Senior Women’s Team

Carrickfergus RFC is seeking an ambitious and passionate Head Coach to lead our Senior Women’s Team into an exciting new chapter.

This appointment represents a significant investment by the club in the continued growth and development of women’s rugby. We are committed to providing the right environment, support and resources to build a successful and sustainable programme.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

* Plan and deliver two training sessions each week.
* Lead the team on matchdays across approximately 10–15 Sunday fixtures during the season.
* Work alongside a dedicated management team and the club’s rugby leadership to develop players and drive performance.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

* Holds an appropriate IRFU Senior/Adult coaching qualification (or recognised equivalent)
* Has a passion for developing players and fostering an enjoyable, inclusive and ambitious environment.
* Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

A competitive remuneration package is available for the right candidate, dependent on experience and qualifications.

The Journey Goes On at Carrickfergus RFC

We’re delighted that Caidan Slaughter will be continuing his rugby journey with Carrickfergus RFC for the 2026/27 season!

After captaining our U18s last season, Caidan now makes the step up to senior rugby and joins the senior squad for the season ahead.

A hardworking and committed back-row forward, Caidan has led by example throughout his youth career and has demonstrated all the qualities needed to make a successful transition into senior rugby. Comfortable anywhere across the back row, he brings energy, physicality, and a relentless work ethic to the squad.

Ulster Youth captain and Ulster Youth Player of the Year. Caidan’s progression is another fantastic example of the strength of our youth-to-senior pathway, and we are proud to see another homegrown player making the move into senior rugby.

Everyone at the club can’t wait to see Caidan in action, and we look forward to supporting his continued development in his bright future
