Day 12 of the Kindness Challenge.....

In March 2017 two TfL employees decided to write a little note on their service announcement whiteboard. There was a Craig David concert on so they came up with a funny Craig David inspired service announcement. Peoples stopped, laughed, took pictures and they noticed how happy it made the commuters.

3 years on and All on The Board has a huge Instagram and Twitter following and continues to make people smile as well as raising awareness about important issues. It’s amazing how a few words can change someone’s day.

As I had a lovely lesson with KT Wild and she somehow got me into the Tulip I feel this is appropriate:

'And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud became more painful than the risk it took to blossom'

Day 10 of the Kindness Challenge.....

💫If you hear someone saying something negative counter it with something positive💫
I recently read an article that stated how to exercise safely. One of the suggestions was for ladies not to exercise in the dark. Now I totally get where they are coming from after all you never know who is out there.
However I stick to well lit routes. I wear a lot of high Viz and a running light. My husband has an app on his phone so he knows where I am going. Also he does call me if I am out longer than 30 mins in the dark.
We should be encouraging people to go outside for their exercise. They are cooped up enough as it is!

I feel it's time for a quick reflection over the last 17 days:

Q. Did you have enough clothes?
A. Yes. And when I ran out of underpants I decided to wash them.

Q. Did you have enough bedding?
A. Yes. I did clean sheet Tuesday. So I changed my bedding twice. Emily wet through her blankets so we needed to put them in the wash. But Stephanie, Ian and I didn't vomit or mess our duvets so we didn't need a new one.

Q. Did you have enough books?
A. Yes. Actually in terms of the girls we have too many books so if anyone knows where we can donate some.....

Q. Did you have enough paper?
A. Yes. Stephanie has done a lot of drawing over the last 17 days, but we didn't run out.

I know this is me being facetious, but can you honestly say the last 17 days have been the apocalypse? No.

Another lesson I learned from was to assess my emotional attachment to certain things and if you don't use them for their purpose to let them go.
I bid a fond farewell to my after 5 years. I have worn 2 babies in this coat front and back. I have worn when I was and wasn't pregnant. Ian even wore it. We took it on holiday to baby groups.
But I haven't worn Emily in ages. I had to acknowledge that she was a 2 year old who didn't want to be worn and start sorting through my baby wearing items. I put this coat on a selling site and it went. I was happy and sad. I was glad Ian posted it as I think I would have been upset.
But now I need a new coat. Any suggestions?
