We’re delighted to welcome Soniya Jadhav to at . 👏

Soniya is leading a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with .contracts, based in Omagh.

Production of construction materials is a high carbon activity, cement and concrete alone account for roughly 8% of global CO₂ emissions, with embodied carbon making up about 11–28% of a building’s total lifecycle footprint.

Soniya, a MSc graduate in Construction Project Management from Queen’s, is working with Fox Contracts and academics from the to develop innovative methods to accurately track and report whole life carbon emissions across all of the company’s operations and projects, create a more carbon-efficient supply chain and strengthen their sustainability practices.

“I’m excited to collaborate with local suppliers and subcontractors to map high carbon materials, identify low carbon and circular alternatives, and embed tracking systems throughout the supply chain to help deliver genuinely low carbon construction outcomes.”, says Soniya.

Although it’s early days for this KTP, we’re looking forward to seeing Soniya’s impact at Fox Contracts.
