The Inclusive Edit

One of the things I’ve loved most about Santorini Sky | Luxury Resort is that you don’t have to go searching for the experience.

They bring it to you.

The view.
The stillness.
The people.

This evening was private yoga and massage at the villa with the wonderful Marina Marina Gourneli overlooking the island as the sun went down.

And what I appreciated most was how naturally she approached everything.

She adapted, naturally.

It wasn’t a big conversation.
It wasn’t awkward.
It wasn’t a watered down version of what everyone else gets.

It was just a beautiful yoga session, and a wonderful massage.

Marina watched how my body moved, understood what worked for me and created a session that allowed me to switch off completely.

That confidence matters.

Because when someone else is comfortable, you get to be comfortable too.

Ending with sun salutations in that setting was one of those little “how is this my life?” moments.

A beautiful reminder that luxury isn’t always about adding more.

Sometimes it’s creating a space where you don’t have to think about anything at all.

You know the tiny things that stop a trip becoming harder than it needs to be?

Anniversary Magic at Meltemi
One year after our Santorini wedding

There is something quietly revealing about returning to a hotel.

The first time can be magic.

Especially when the first time was your wedding.

But a return tells you something else.

It tells you whether the magic was a moment, or whether it was the standard.

One year after our Santorini wedding, we returned to TUI Blue Meltemi in Perissa.

This time, I wasn’t arriving as the bride with a dress, a suitcase full of emotion and the hope that everything would work.

I was returning as someone who already knew what the hotel had meant to us.

And quietly asking whether it would still hold.

Would the access still work?

Would the service still feel personal?

Would the little things still matter?

Would the experience still feel beautiful once the wedding magic had settled?

What I found was a hotel that remembered us not as a booking reference, but as people.

The ramp. The room. The spa. The restaurant. The way the team welcomed us back.

None of it felt clinical.

None of it felt like a favour.

It felt like hospitality.

And that is the part I keep coming back to.

Accessible luxury is not just whether a place can accommodate you.

It is whether the experience still feels easy, personal, dignified and beautiful once you arrive.

Discovering Santorini with a private guide transforms the experience from simply seeing the island to truly understanding it.

Founder Kathrin has lived on Santorini for 27 years, and her love for the island is obvious. But what stayed with me most was her belief that Santorini’s beautiful, challenging charm should be opened up to more people.

We spent a day doing exactly that.

Seeing places I hadn’t been able to experience in quite the same way before.
Learning more about the island from someone who knows it deeply.
And being reminded again that access doesn’t reduce the experience.

That is why Amelia and Clare’s story felt like the right place to begin Life Without Limits.

They changed what people are allowed to expect from everyday support.

Today, the first Life Without Limits feature is live on The Inclusive Edit.

And I couldn’t think of a better person to begin with than Amelia Peckham, co-founder of Cool Crutches.

After a spinal injury at 19, Amelia was given crutches that hurt, clicked and made her feel smaller at the exact moment she needed support.

Together with her mum Clare, she built Cool Crutches: a mobility aid brand that challenged what the industry had accepted for far too long.

Because mobility aids are not just functional objects.

They are used every day.
In public.
At work.
At weddings.
In photographs.
On stages.
In airports.
On catwalks.

And the question should never only be:

Does it hold weight?
Does it help someone move?
Does it do the job?

Those questions matter.

But Amelia asked the bigger question:

That is where better design begins.

The thing I keep coming back to from this experience is how quickly everything changed when the answer was yes.

Not a careless yes.

Not a “we’ll figure it out when you arrive” yes.

A considered one.

The kind that comes from people looking at the guest, the boat, the route, the day, the limitations, the possibilities, and saying:

Let’s make this work properly.

That is the difference between access being improvised and access being part of the experience.

Our private caldera cruise with Sail Away Santorini wasn’t universally accessible. It was still a catamaran, and there were honest limitations.

But it was warm.
Thoughtful.
Dignified.
Beautiful.
And possible.

For milestone travel, that matters.

Because weddings, honeymoons and anniversaries aren’t only about where you stay.

They’re about the memories you hope you won’t have to watch other people make.
