Today is Earth Day.

For me, it’s never just a date on the calendar, but a reminder of why I do what I do.

Each collection begins in the field, alongside scientists who dedicate their lives to understanding the living world.
What I bring back to the studio are not memories, but fragments of ecosystems shaped over millions of years.

Pura Vida was born this way.
Weeks spent in a natural reserve in Costa Rica, with Maarten and Hanneke, two biologists committed to protecting an extraordinary biodiversity.

Learning to observe what often goes unnoticed.
The quiet complexity of a fern.
The hidden networks of a forest.
The collective intelligence of ants.

To protect these worlds, we first need to see them.
Not as an idea, but as something tangible, something we can carry, feel, and pass on.

This is what I try to translate, piece by piece.
