A Senior Biomedical Expert (sometimes titled Senior Biomedical Engineer or Senior Biomedical Scientist) provides technical leadership in the design, evaluation and life-cycle management of medical technologies and diagnostic services. The role bridges engineering/scientific innovation with clinical application, regulatory compliance and business strategy.

Position: Senior Biomedical

Required number: 1

Salary: By Negotiation.

Type of recruitment: Per time.

Office: Addis Ababa, in front of Addis Ketema Sub City head office.

Duties and Responsibilites:
Lead design and development of complex medical devices, instrumentation or assays

Set research road-maps, evaluate new biomaterials, sensors and digital health integration

Act as department expert on sophisticated analytical platforms; troubleshoot and authorise results in high-stakes diagnostics (e.g., haematology, imaging, implantables)

Oversee validation of software/AI components, ensure data integrity and cybersecurity of connected devices

Manage multidisciplinary project teams; mentor junior engineers/scientists; run performance reviews and training programmes

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or in a related field of study

Experience: More than 5 years of experience in import and wholesale

Required Skills:
Able to deal with suppliers and select medical equipment’s for import.

Able to fill and submit medical equipment tenders.

Able to give medical equipment maintenance for customers.
