The second module of the Haset Women Leadership Program brought together women leaders in the CSO space for three days of learning, reflection, and connection. The sessions focused on strengthening sisterhood, self-awareness, and key leadership skills.

Participants explored coaching and mentorship, resource utilization, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, negotiation, team building, and sales

Beyond the training, the module created a strong space for reflection, collaboration, and shared learning, deepening both leadership capacity and sisterhood among participants.

Hiwot Yimer is a finance and development professional serving as Finance Coordinator at Development Expertise Centre.

With extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, auditing, compliance, and donor reporting, she is committed to promoting accountability, transparency, and organizational sustainability.

A certified trainer in Gender Transformative Approaches and fundraising, Hiwot has also received training in corporate governance and ESG principles. Known for her strong leadership and collaborative approach, she works to drive effective, ethical, and sustainable development outcomes.

Hiwot holds an MSc in Development Economics from Ethiopian Civil Service University.

Haset Women Leadership Program | Haset 3 Club 3

Haset 3 Club 3 created space for honest reflection, purposeful leadership, and meaningful connection. The session began with a wellness reflection on participants’ relationship with money, followed by feedback from DTM Ethiopia Tadesse on communication, clarity, and intentional leadership.

Through volunteer project group work, participants turned ideas into action, while guest speaker Bizuwork Ketetew led a powerful conversation on leading with purpose and alignment. The day closed with the Haset Circle on embracing vulnerability, encouraging openness, authenticity, and growth.

Dr. Roman Getachew is a clinician, researcher, and academic with over nine years of experience, including more than three years working in a refugee camp setting.

Her work spans clinical care, health workforce capacity building, and contributions to community health programs. She has also supported ethical review processes as a volunteer clinician and reviewer for the Ethiopian Medical Association Ethics Committee.

She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), with a strong professional focus on global health, maternal and child health, and refugee health.
