Spanien war und ist von COVID-19 stark betroffen. Regionale Infektionsherde gibt es landesweit, insbesondere in der Hauptstadtregion Madrid, den Autonomen Gemeinschaften Aragón, Kastilien La Mancha, Kastilien und Léon, Katalonien, La Rioja, Murcia, Navarra, im Baskenland und in Ceuta und Melilla.
Landesweit beträgt die Inzidenz mehr als 50 Fälle pro 100.000 Einwohner auf sieben Tage, weshalb Spanien, mit Ausnahme der Kanarischen Inseln, als Risikogebiet eingestuft wurde.
