¡¡¡ 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 !!!
Advancing Sustainable Development in the Mediterranean. This week in Barcelona (25-26-27 of November), I was at the Institutional Dialogue of the Interreg Euro-MED Natural Heritage Mission organized by MedCities and CREAF together with partners from across the Mediterranean to connect policies, partnerships, and practices. The event brought together Mediterranean institutions, experts, and partners from the Thematic Projects of our Community to advance cooperation on nature protection and restoration, in the context of both Anniversaries of Barcelona Convention and Barcelona Process

As Associated Partner representing LEF, the Lebanese Environment Forum (Marine Protected Areas Network) and Hima Med COP, I was actively participating and contributing. Our approach will be guided by the key policy recommendations adopted in Barcelona, a practical road-map for advancing territorial (Source to Sea), terrestrial, freshwater and wetland ecosystems restoration across the Mediterranean

1- Institutional dialogue D4N: major policy momentum in Mediterranean cooperation. We are addressing the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Process and 50th anniversary of the Barcelona Convention, the Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development (MCSD/MSSD)

2- Communities of Practice COP: focus on collaboration, supporting knowledge transfer and technical support, concrete follow-up actions (regional & bilateral). we are engaged in discussions on how "CULTURE & Science-based Solutions" strengthen local (national & regional) Ecosystems Restoration

3- The final day provided space for targeted meetings, strengthening transfer opportunities and deepening collaboration among community members and key actors
