Darren Hill & Dee Dee Ramone, 1981.
Here‘s Dee Dee with Red Rockers bassist Darren Hill, backstage at Dreamland in San Francisco, August 18, 1981.
Red Rockers were a Punk band from New Orleans, labeled the „American answer to The Clash“ by Rolling Stone music writer Lester Bangs - a resemblance Hill considered „kind of funny“.
Dee Dee and the Ramones had just released „Pleasant Dreams“ - peaking at No. 58 on the Billboard 200.
