We are launching our donation campaign, I CAN – for Ukraine, to support somatic MHPSS programmes for people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Your donation directly supports civil society activists, helping professionals, caregivers, and young people. It helps activists and professionals become more resilient, enables caregivers to respond with curiosity and compassion, and creates moments of safety, connection, and healing for young people.

For people deeply affected by trauma, it offers a real chance to recover from what they have experienced.
Support one helper, and they will pass that support on to dozens or even hundreds of others.
Support them through Somatic Experiencing and watch your impact grow.

May with the LIBERECO team 💙

This month, we met with new and long-time our members in Utrecht to work on our campaign, explore the city together, and enjoy local food.

Our colleague Ira Ganzhorn spoke at panel discussions in Munich and Augsburg about life in Ukraine during the fifth year of Russia’s full-scale war and the realities people continue to face every day.

Meanwhile, LIBERECO Switzerland joined a solidarity action for Belarusian political prisoners in Zurich, and part of our team attended the “Without Just Cause” conference in Vilnius focused on political repression and human rights.

Back in Berlin, we organised a tote bag workshop using the traditional Ukrainian “Vybijka” printing technique to mark the anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars.

Thank you to everyone who was with us this month — in conversations, at protests, workshops, and community events. Solidarity continues through people 💛

For many children in Ukraine, “normal” childhood today means nights in bomb shelters, online classes from basements, constant air raid alerts, displacement, and ongoing stress.

841 political prisoners.
Behind every number is a name.
Behind every name is a story of resistance, courage, and unjust imprisonment.

The Belarusian regime continues to silence people for speaking out, helping others, demanding freedom, or simply refusing to stay silent.

We stand in solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners until every single person is free.

Freedom for all Belarusian political prisoners. ✊

Ukraine may no longer be at the top of the news every day — but for people living through Russia’s war, there is no pause.

In the fourth year of the full-scale invasion, civilians continue to face daily attacks, occupation, displacement and loss. And Europe must not look away.

Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, our colleague Ira Ganzhorn , Humanitarian Aid Officer at Libereco, will speak at two panel discussions hosted by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Bavaria.

Together with other speakers, she will discuss what life and survival in Ukraine look like today, the situation in the occupied territories, and what Germany and the EU can do to stand with Ukraine.
