Niels is currently playing his sixth season with and is the longest-serving player and team captain in this year's roster. He crowned his youth career under coach Henrik Rödl by leading ALBA's U19 team to the first German championship in 2009. In 2010 Niels moved to the University of Connecticut , with which he became US Collegiate Champion twice in 2011 and 2014 - as the first German basketball player.🔥
