A lot of people ask me:

“If Europe has a skilled worker shortage, why are so many people still getting rejected?”

After living in Germany, working here, helping thousands of professionals, and speaking with recruiters regularly, I can tell you one thing:

Europe does not have a people shortage.

Europe has a skills shortage.

And there is a big difference.

The opportunities are real, but companies are becoming more selective than ever before. They are looking for the right skills, relevant experience, strong applications, and in many cases, local language abilities.

One thing many people don’t want to hear, but it’s the reality:

Without the local language, especially German in Germany, getting a job becomes significantly harder.

Not impossible.
Just harder.

Many international professionals focus only on CVs and applications while completely ignoring the language.

The people I see succeeding most often are usually doing three things:

✅ Improving their skills
✅ Learning the local language
✅ Applying strategically and consistently

Language doesn’t just help you get interviews.

It helps you communicate with colleagues, integrate into the culture, build trust, and access a much larger job market.

This isn’t fear-mongering or exaggeration.

It’s practical advice based on real experiences and real outcomes.

For those who ask about my job assistance program:

I only work with a small number of people at a time because I prefer giving individual attention rather than operating like a large consultancy.

It’s not an agency.
It’s not a job guarantee.

I personally review profiles, help with strategy, CV optimization, LinkedIn improvements, applications, interview preparation, and share what has actually worked in the European market.

The goal is simple:
To help people avoid common mistakes and approach the process in a smarter way.

The opportunity is real.

But preparation, persistence, and language skills matter more than ever.

What’s your biggest challenge right now when it comes to working in Europe?

Everyone talks about getting to Germany.

Very few people talk about what to do after landing. 🇩🇪

I’ve seen many international students and Opportunity Card holders make the same mistakes in their first few weeks:

❌ Delaying Anmeldung
❌ Not booking residence permit appointments early
❌ Ignoring health insurance requirements
❌ Missing important documents and deadlines
❌ Not understanding how German systems actually work

The reality is simple:

Your first 30 days in Germany can make the next 3 years either easier or much more stressful.

Germany rewards people who are organized, patient, and prepared.

That’s exactly why I created this roadmap — based on real experiences, common mistakes, and practical things people wish they knew before arriving.
