🤔 How abstract art is trending in 2022?
👌 As our homes slowly become more sociable (in ways beyond video calls), the abstract art trend allows us to reflect our personal positively and enrich our spaces with joy.
👌 The current abstract trend in interior design has arisen from our need to make our homes inspiring and uplifting. Now that we can welcome people back into our homes, it is increasingly important that the space around us serves as a tangible extension of our personality and the part of ourselves that we want to share.

📣Looking for a new year refresh? Color of the Year 2022 is the place to begin! Green color in the interior: an aura of calmness and well-being.
▫️While this tone has already influenced interior design trends over recent months, Etsy reveals that its appeal shows no sign of slowing down.
▫️Symbolizing harmony and growth, along with royalty and refinement, green is the perfect color to remind us to find balance this year. With this in mind, the site recently observed a surge in searches for emerald green items (up 64%) whilst searches for emerald green decor also rose by up 60%.
▫️Plus, there is a reason why this therapeutic yet rich shade is set to remain at the peak of paint trends for 2022. While green makes a statement when standing alone, it similarly works alongside a range of varying colorways - from earthy terracottas and neutrals to luxe golds and silvers.
▫️Were you told in childhood that when your eyes are tired, you need to look at something green? In Eastern culture, green is a symbol of wealth and prosperity, and in psychology - of nature and constant renewal. The positive characteristics gave green a good reputation. And since ancient times, it is believed that green has a healing aura.
▫️ Shades from mint to emerald are suitable for different interior styles. Light, pastel colors will fit into modern interior styles. And for classic and retro designs, it is better to choose rich and deep tones.
▫️ The question is - how can we fit art pieces into this design? Easy! Check out the carousel with few perfect examples ➡️

❓Why do people buy art?
❓Is it for status, prestige, and approval?
❓Do they genuinely admire the piece?
❓Are they simply hungry for all things luxurious?
All of it at some point ☺️
🔵 Provenance
In the art world, an artwork’s value can be attributed to provenance. In other words, who has owned the painting in the past. For example, Mark Rothko’s White Center was owned by the Rockefeller family, one of America’s most powerful dynasties.
🟣 Attribution
Old masterpieces are seldom sold as they are typically kept in museums, never again to change hands between private owners. Yet, the sale of these masterpieces happens even now
⚫️ The Thrill of Auction
Auctioneers are skilled salesman who help raise those prices up and up and up. They know when to bump up a lot and when to slightly tip the scales. They’re running the show and it’s their job to make sure the highest bidder has a shot and that values soar.
⚪️ Social Status
In the earliest years of art history as we know it today, artists were commissioned by royalty or religious institutions. Private sales and auctions came much later and now it’s clear that high art is the ultimate luxury commodity with some artists now becoming brands in and of themselves
🔴 Love and Passion
On the other hand, while some are making business investments and gaining prestige, others are willing to pay huge sums of money for a work of art simply because they fall in love with the piece.
As you can see, many arbitrary factors contribute to the value of art, but other, more straightforward things make art valuable, too. From my point of view authenticity is a clear indicator of value as copies and prints of an original painting. Do you agree?
