There is something profoundly healing about entering the underwater world.

Yes, swimming with wild dolphins is a dream come true. Their presence is playful, intelligent, and deeply humbling.

But the magic doesn't begin or end with the dolphins.

As you drift through the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea, you're welcomed into a living sanctuary. Vibrant coral gardens, shimmering schools of tropical fish, and an underwater world so alive it feels almost otherworldly.

It's a reminder that life exists in countless beautiful forms, each one moving in perfect harmony.

The ocean has a way of softening the mind, opening the heart, and bringing you fully into the present moment. Every breath, every movement, every encounter becomes a meditation.

Throughout our Tanzania retreat, we come together in ceremony and breathwork to create space for deeper connection—with ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us.

Breathwork is a powerful practice that helps release stored tension, quiet the mind, and clear emotional blockages. As we breathe with intention, we create space for greater clarity, presence, and a deeper connection to our authentic selves.

Our ceremonies invite us to slow down, open our hearts, and reconnect with the wisdom that already exists within. During the Cacao Ceremony, we will gently awaken the heart, deepen our intuition, and cultivate a sense of compassion and inner guidance.

The Baobab Ceremony draws on the grounding energy of the Tree of Life, long revered across Eastern Africa. As we drink this nourishing earth medicine, we honour the land that hosts us, root ourselves in the present moment, and reconnect with the innate wisdom of our bodies. This ceremony serves as a beautiful bridge between land and sea, preparing us to encounter the whale sharks with reverence, gratitude, and an open heart.

Together, these practices are not about seeking something outside ourselves, but about remembering what has always been within. They offer an opportunity to soften, expand, and align more deeply with our own inner wisdom, allowing us to experience this retreat with greater presence, openness, and intention. 🩵

People often ask me what the days on our Humpback Whale Retreat in Tonga are actually like.So let me walk you through one.

You wake to birdsong and the sound of the ocean a few steps away. No alarm. No rush.
We begin with yoga as the light comes up. Slow and gentle, just enough to open the body and steady the breath before the water.

A delicious breakfast and then we head out. The boat carries us across the blue to where the whales are resting and singing and raising their young. Some days they come to us within minutes. Some days we wait, and the waiting is its own kind of meditation, scanning the horizon with our hearts wide open.

When the moment comes, we slip quietly into the water in small groups of 4 and let the whales decide how close they wish to be. Always on their terms. We spend hours out there. Watching them breach. Hearing the song move through the water. Sometimes simply floating in the bigness of it all.

In the afternoon we come home to rest. Space to nap, to journal, to swim, to do nothing at all. Time to let the day settle into the body.

As the sun goes down we gather in circle to share and to integrate all that we have seen and felt. Some evenings a bonfire on the beach, and a traditional Tongan kava ceremony with the locals who make this island home.

And later we eat together under a sky thick with stars, far from any city light.

If you are looking to disconnect from daily chaos, the noise and the overwhelm, and move into peace, calm, clarity and guidance, this is where you need to be.

Seven days of this. Five of them on the water.
This October, on 'Eua. A small group, a slow rhythm, and the whales.

Guess where…

Here’s one of the only places on earth where you can swim with resident superpods of dolphins - hundreds of them call the his reef home, all year around 🐬
