Big news for Cyprus Cubing!

Congratulations to Marios Kasparis on becoming a WCA Trainee Delegate!

This is a huge milestone for our community - Cyprus now has a third delegate. More competitions, better organization, and more opportunities for local cubers to grow.

Marios has been actively supporting events for a long time, and we are happy to see his dedication recognized. Excited for the next chapter and many competitions ahead together!

We are thrilled to announce the first competition of this year! 🎉 This will be an unofficial competition featuring experimental “handicap rules.” If you’ve participated in our cubing meetups before or YouthTechFest 2025, you’re probably already familiar with this style of competition. We promise it’s going to be a lot of fun! 😊

Each event will consist of three stages:
1️⃣ Qualification
2️⃣ Face-to-Face Playoff

☝️ “Handicap rules” explained:
The winners are not the fastest overall but those who perform better than their average time when compared to their rival competitors. Detailed rules will be explained at the event. Please note these are not official WCA rules.
