Malama beach is popular for having a few sea turtles swimming inside the bay.
The beach is very popular with locals on the week-ends, it can get quite crowded in the summer.

There is a bar providing fresh drinks and snacks at the beach but also toilets and shower are available. Malama beach has a lifeguard on duty every day from April to October. Also there is a watersports centre located on the outskirts of the cove.
