Sometimes, on a yacht with an existing history, certain parts of the interior can feel so far from the new owner’s style and sensibility that it seems as if the whole space would need to be changed.

But good redesign does not necessarily require a complete transformation. More often, it requires a precise understanding of what is holding the space back and what is still worth keeping. That was exactly the case here. Only carefully selected elements were changed, but the result is such that the new solution now feels as if it had always belonged to this cabin.

That is what we value in yacht interior renovation. When a new intervention does not feel like an addition, but fits so naturally that the space seems as if it was designed that way from the very beginning.
__________

In this phase, a refit rarely looks good on camera.

Protective covers and tools are still everywhere. People are coming in and out.

But beneath that controlled chaos, the interior is slowly taking its final shape.

The reupholstered elements are back on board, new materials are finding their place next to the existing veneer, and the design is slowly becoming real.

It is not finished yet. But you can already see the final interior taking shape.
____________

Ljudi ulaze i izlaze.

This house was developed by balancing two different approaches to space. The husband, originally from Serbia, was drawn to calm, open rooms, clear lines, and a more restrained architectural expression. The wife, from Brazil, felt strongly connected to the warmth, rhythm, and atmosphere of traditional Brazilian homes.

That combination was not a problem to solve, but the real starting point of the project.

The challenge was to design a house that could naturally bring both worlds together. We wanted to create a home that would feel open and clearly organized, but also warm enough, protected from outside views, and strongly connected to life outdoors. That is why the house layout, roof forms, terraces, and inner courtyard work together not only as architectural elements, but also as a balance between two ways of living.

These are always the most interesting projects for us. Not when a house follows one style perfectly, but when it responds precisely to the wishes of the people who will truly live in it.
____________

The upper salon of this 45-meter motor yacht was one of the spaces that best showed how a yacht interior renovation does not have to mean erasing the existing identity, but carefully translating it into a more contemporary expression.

The existing salon had a clear character, high-quality wood paneling, and a good layout foundation, but the overall impression felt heavier, darker, and visually more loaded than the new owner wanted. That is why our goal was not to change everything, but to keep what still gave value to the space and redesign the elements that made it feel outdated.

The new proposal keeps the warmth of the wood and the classic sense of elegance, but introduces more lightness through brighter textiles, cleaner furniture, simpler coffee table forms, and a clearer spatial composition. The top view especially shows that the layout was not changed without reason, but carefully adjusted so the salon remains functional, comfortable to stay in, and visually calmer.

For us, that is the essence of a good yacht interior renovation approach: not changing everything just because you can, but understanding what already gives quality to the space and how to build on it so it looks better, works better, and lasts longer.
__________

Novo rešenje zadržava toplinu drveta i klasični stil salona, ali ga čini otvorenijim kroz svetlije tekstile, pročišćeniji nameštaj, jednostavnije forme klub stolova i jasniju organizaciju prostora.

An open-plan layout can easily feel cold if it is not carefully defined.

In this apartment, the dining area gains its own zone through proportion and lighting, without adding physical partitions. Three pendants follow the length of the table and visually frame it, creating a sense of enclosure within a larger space.

In this way, the openness is preserved, while the atmosphere becomes more intimate for gathering.
_________

U ovom stanu trpezarija dobija svoju zonu kroz proporciju i svetlo, bez dodatnih pregrada. Tri lustera prate dimenziju stola i vizuelno ga uokviruju, stvarajući osećaj zaokruženosti unutar većeg prostora.
