Contrary to what society likes to believe, there are far more confident women out there than people realize.

Many women were raised to do almost everythin; house chores, caregiving, problem-solving, and carrying responsibilities from a young age. Year after year, constantly being expected to handle so much built their competence, independence, and confidence.

Meanwhile, many men were raised differently. While women were learning how to manage life, some men were taught that their value would eventually come from being providers. As a result, money became their biggest source of confidence. Take that away, and many are forced to confront how little of their identity was built outside of it.

This imbalance has created generations of women who know how to survive and adapt, while too many men never developed the same level of emotional, personal, or social confidence. And when insecurity meets entitlement, the consequences can be harmful for everyone.

What we need to know is that women’s confidence didn’t appear overnight, it was built through years of doing what society expected them to do, and often much more.

My message to parents is that they raise their sons the way they raise their daughters. Teach them responsibility, life skills, emotional intelligence, discipline, and self-sufficiency….and not just how to provide financially. Because a man whose confidence depends only on money is vulnerable. A man who can manage himself, his home, his emotions, and his responsibilities is truly confident. Let’s raise better boys, build better men, and create a better world.
