We are honored to welcome Engr. Usmanu Jr., a Bachelor of Engineering graduate from the University of Buea’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology. He brings practical industry experience from his work installing MTN antennas, demonstrating strong hands-on skills in telecommunications infrastructure.

Engr. Usmanu Jr. has also contributed to academic and organizational development as the former Director of Administrative Affairs and Studies at -CMR. He is currently advancing his expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and Networks Engineering at Le Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, specializing in MIMO connectivity for wireless devices.

His blend of practical experience and advanced research makes him a valuable resource for students aspiring to excel in engineering and telecommunications.

We are honoed to welcome Ako Yitu, a passionate 4th-year Medical Laboratory Science student at the The University of Bamenda’s Faculty of Health Sciences. Ako serves as the Assistant Country Coordinator for GMEAN Youth in Focus Cameroon and has held key leadership roles such as Local Officer for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights with the - Cameroon Medical Students' Association, Community Engagement Director at Smiles, and Secretary General at the Esimbi Health Association.

She is also the Team Lead Coordinator for Text4Teen 4.0 at Global Teen Changemakers and a Student Ambassador at the Khanum Memorial Center Hospital. Beyond academics, Ako is a dedicated peer educator with and has actively contributed to numerous organizations focused on health and youth empowerment.

A committed public health advocate, Ako champions the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDGs 3 and 4, and is driven by her passion to give back to her community through impactful health campaigns. Her broad experience and enthusiasm uniquely position her to inspire and guide students aspiring to succeed in MLS and Nursing.

We are honored to welcome Egbe Gift as our speaker for the Medical Orientation session. Egbe is a sixth-year medical student at the University of Buea and serves as the Southwest Coordinator for the Model Initiative of Africa(MIA)– Kumba Branch. As the Youth Opportunities Ambassador for Cameroon for 2024 and 2025, he has leveraged over five years of leadership experience to mentor and guide more than 1,500 youth, connecting them to valuable global opportunities including scholarships, exchange programs, and fellowships.

Egbe’s exceptional commitment to youth empowerment and human capital development has earned him national and international recognition, including the prestigious Leadership Excellence Award from Global Leadership School, presented by Dr. Mike Oladipo. His insights and experience make him an inspiring guide for aspiring medical students as they navigate their studies and career paths.
