Sama Ndaghu

One of the strongest Old Testament declarations of the absolute oneness of God is:

Deuteronomy 6:4
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” (KJV)
This verse is called the Shema, the central confession of Israel’s faith.

The important word is אֶחָד (Echad).
Meaning:

In many contexts it means one alone or unique.
Examples in the Old Testament:
Zechariah 14:9
“The LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.”
Isaiah 45:5
“I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me.”
These verses emphasize one God alone, not multiple divine persons.

3. Why This Verse Is Powerful
The Shema was the core belief of Israel.
Every devout Jew recited it daily.
Even Jesus Christ quoted this exact verse as the greatest commandment.

4. Apostolic Interpretation
Many Apostolic teachers reason like this:
Deuteronomy 6:4 → God is one

1 Timothy 3:16 → God was manifest in the flesh
Colossians 2:9 → All the fullness of God dwells in Christ
Therefore they conclude:
