G16 FORMER APC HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ASPIRANTS CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR MUTFWANG ON JOINING APC, SAYS ERA OF LIBERATION OF PLATEAU MASSES HAS COME
Jos, Nigeria - January 27, 2026.

The G16 Former APC House of Assembly Aspirants, led by Comrade Timkat Peter, has congratulated His Excellency Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on his grand reception into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The event, held at Polo Field Jos, was attended by the national leadership of APC, including Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Senate President Dr. Godwin Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives RT Hon Tajudeen Abbas, and National Chairman of APC Professor NENTAWE Yilwada, alongside governors and senators.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Comrade Timkat extended warm congratulations to Governor Mutfwang, stating that Plateau State will now enjoy greater national recognition, bringing meaningful development to the state. He commended Governor Mutfwang's bold decision, saying it will strengthen political unity and progress state development.

Comrade Timkat assured Governor Mutfwang of the G16's loyalty and commitment to his success as Governor of Plateau State. He thanked Governor Mutfwang and APC leadership, urging politics of inclusion and fair play for all Plateau State residents.

He emphasized that the era of political division in Plateau State should end, citing the current realignment and collapse of PDP into APC. Plateau people have suffered from politics of deception and marginalization, and it's time for meaningful development.

Comrade Timkat expressed gratitude to Professor Nentawe Yilwada for demonstrating statesmanship and patriotism as a true Plateau son, commending his commitment to support Governor Mutfwang's reelection in 2027. He stated that Plateau people would benefit more from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration through this strategic cohesion of Professor Nentawe and Governor Mutfwang.

He thanked all supporters, party stalwarts, political gladiators for gracing the occasion praying that God grants Governor Mutfwang and Professor Nentawe wisdom to liberate Plateau masses.

*PLATEAU POLICE COMMAND BANS SALES, USE OF KNOCKOUTS ARTICLES ACROSS PLATEAU STATE*

The Plateau State Police Command wishes to inform the general public, particularly parents, guardians, and religious leaders, that in the interest of public safety and security, the Command has deemed it necessary to ban the sales and use of knockouts articles and fireworks in connection with the upcoming festive season.

This decision is informed by our commitment to ensuring a peaceful and safe celebration for all residents of Plateau State. The use of knockouts and fireworks has been known to create unnecessary panic, thereby disturbing public peace.

The Plateau State Police Command warns that anyone found violating this order by selling, using, or in possession of knockouts articles and fireworks will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law. The Commad will not hesitate to take decisive action against anyone who flouts this directive.

We urge parents and guardians to caution their children and wards to comply with this directive and avoid engaging in the sale, use, or possession of knockouts articles and fireworks. We encourage Plateau law abiding citizens to report the sale or use of these prohibited items to the Police or other relevant security agencies for necessary lawful action.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, psc also call on religious leaders to caution their congregation members to obey this order and avoid engaging in activities that could jeopardize public peace and security. Their leadership and guidance in this regard will go a long way in ensuring a peaceful and safe for all before, during and after the festive season.
