✏️In our most recent publication Makhambetov et. al. investigated the possibility of producing a complex W–Mo–Cr-containing alloy via reduction of oxide concentrates in the presence of direct reduced iron (DRI) in an induction furnace under atmospheric conditions.
👉The results demonstrate the feasibility of direct complex alloying as an alternative to conventional ferroalloy-based methods and highlight the potential for developing resource-efficient and low-carbon metallurgical technologies.

Smelting of a Complex W-, Mo-, and Cr-Containing Alloy in an Induction Furnace via Metallothermic Reduction This study investigates the possibility of producing a complex W–Mo–Cr-containing alloy via metallothermic reduction of oxide concentrates in the presence of direct reduced iron (DRI) in an induction furnace under atmospheric conditions. A complex FeAlSiCa alloy was used as a reductant due to it...

🧠Under specific temperature and strain rate conditions, certain materials, such as low-carbon steels and select magnesium and aluminum alloys, experience a localized deformation phenomenon known as the Lüders effect.
👉Almatroushi et. al. invesitaged the effect of Interrupted Loading on the Lüder Phenomena in AISI 1524 Steel Alloy

The Effect of Interrupted Loading on the Lüder Phenomena in AISI 1524 Steel Alloy Under specific temperature and strain rate conditions, certain materials, such as low-carbon steels and select magnesium and aluminum alloys, experience a localized deformation phenomenon known as the Lüders effect. This behavior manifests as a well-defined yield point, after which the stress–str...

📢Qiao et. al. fabricated an AA6061-7075 composite with a heterogeneous structure via the additive friction stir deposition (AFSD) method.
✏️The in situ processing data was monitored during the manufacturing process.
👉The results show that the cross-section of the composite subjected to AFSD exhibits a lower degree of plastic deformation behavior compared to the surface and side of the composite, owing to serious heat accumulation during the layer-by-layer stacking process

👉Light alloys based on magnesium are widely used in most areas of science and technology.
✏️Teslia et. al. examined the effect of adding 5 wt. % and 10 wt. % Zinc to the sintering pattern of magnesium powders at 430 °C; a dwell of 30 min was used to homogenize at the densification’s temperature. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to characterize the alloy’s microstructure, while the phase composition was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS).

The Activation of Magnesium Sintering by Zinc Addition Light alloys based on magnesium are widely used in most areas of science and technology. However, magnesium powder alloys are quite difficult to sinter due to the stable film of oxides that counteracts diffusion. Therefore, finding a method to activate magnesium sintering is urgent. This study exami...
