Over the past decade, Preprints.org has been dedicated to accelerating the dissemination of discoveries to the research community, fostering collaboration and innovation.

As we continue our mission, we are excited to hear from Ioana Craciun, Scientific Advisor of Preprints.org, who shares her perspective on the platform’s journey and why research integrity remains central to the value of preprints.

In May 2016, the first preprint went live on Preprints.org.

Ten years later, it has grown into a global preprint server supporting more than 400,000 researchers worldwide.

Looking back on this journey, we are excited to have Alistair Freeland, Chief Operating Officer at MDPI and one of the first members of the Preprints.org team, share his reflections on the platform’s development.
