Spanning over 35,000 square meters of exhibition space, the museum includes galleries, theaters, laboratories, educational facilities, and an innovation center. The interior layout features galleries rising from the central atrium, which acts as an inviting focal point with panoramic views and natural light streaming through its large glazed wall. This atrium blurs the indoors and outdoors, inviting the surrounding landscape inside and creating an inspiring environment for visitors.

The original building had a simple factory design, and the design team aimed to preserve its structure while creating a distinctive identity. The design concept, named "Frame Courtyard," introduces a series of frames that enhance the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Architecturally, the Swiss Pavilion draws inspiration from the bold designs presented at the historic Expo 70 in Osaka. The pavilion seeks to capture the essence of that previous era, characterized by daring and evocative structures.

The design consists of pneumatic constructions made of interlocking spheres that create exhibition spaces, alongside a modular steel structure enveloped in a warm wooden façade for internal functions. The intention is to bring a minimal physical presence to the site, promoting ease of transport and installation while celebrating the pavilion's temporary nature.

The new VÄga water tower is designed to hold an impressive capacity of 10,000 cubic meters of water, five times that of its predecessor. Constructed entirely of concrete, it will be prominently located on Bastekullen, ensuring visibility from the E6 motorway. Beyond its functional role, the tower is envisioned as a new landmark, symbolizing the power and sanctity of water while reflecting its profound significance to the city of Varberg. As such, VÄga stands as a testament to innovative architectural design and the ongoing commitment to serving the needs of the community while honoring the natural resources that sustain it.

The Missing Room - middlepencil.com 16/04/2025

The Missing Room is a unique space that has no walls or ceiling, allowing nature to be the main focus while welcoming visitors as respectful guests. The design features abstract forms powered by water and fire, reimagining basic human activities like resting, eating, cleaning, and talking.

Visitors can cook over an open fire, bathe in heated water, and provide water for animals, all under the tree canopy and open sky. As guests explore the area, the structure gradually reveals itself, with glimpses of smaller buildings visible through the greenery.

Voids Chair, Pink Mirror - middlepencil.com 15/04/2025

The chair mold is crafted from corrugated steel sheets, assembled by simply aligning and bending off-the-shelf sheets along their curvature to form the profile of a chair. The Pink Mirror, characterized by its soft, cloud-like shape and glossy acrylic resin surface, captures the serene beauty of a pinky-orange sunrise and sunset. Its gentle hues and airy form, combined with the transparency of the material, facilitate a delicate interplay between softness and solidity.

The project was developed during the pandemic, which may explain its inherent desire to enhance communal gatherings while transcending the rigidities of functional design. It seeks to cultivate an imagined joy amidst challenging times. The street façade remains unchanged, providing subtle hints about the intervention while preserving the essence of the original structure. In contrast, the rear façade, a product of the extension, emerges anew—not as a rival to the existing architecture but as an additional layer in the narrative of the building’s history.

Nestled in the Nanchuan District of Chongqing, the Drifting Stones project emerges as a serene escape amidst breathtaking natural beauty. Surrounded by lush evergreen trees, towering cliffs, and gentle streams, this vacation retreat captures the essence of its mountainous setting. Comprising a stone staircase and a pavilion, the project invites visitors to explore its surroundings, ascend the stairs for stunning views, or relax in the pavilion while enjoying the soothing sound of flowing water.

Originally sparked by the serendipitous discovery of a remarkable rock during an unrelated site visit, the project draws inspiration from this striking granite boulder, distinguished by its flat top and dramatic presence. Positioned at the valley's heart, it evokes images of extraterrestrial artifacts and ancient civilizations. After extensive feasibility studies, the concept of creating a resting space around this stone evolved, leading to the project’s name - “The Drifting Stones.”
