This study investigates simulation-based optimization of RF-ICP torch design for radioactive waste treatment, focusing on improving energy efficiency beyond conventional limits. Using COMSOL Multiphysics, the authors demonstrate that adopting vortex gas flow and optimizing torch geometry significantly enhances plasma performance, heat transfer, and overall energy conversion efficiency, with potential efficiency gains up to 90%.
