The way you treat others when you are in position of power
True leadership is measured by how we treat the vulnerable, not by how we exercise authority. Power given by God or people is a trust to serve, protect, and uplift others.
Power can reveal the heart. When we are elevated—by title, influence, or resources—we face a daily test: will we use our position to serve or to dominate?
Scripture repeatedly calls leaders to humility, compassion, and justice rather than pride and exploitation. The call to lead like Christ is not about asserting control but about bearing responsibility for the wellbeing of those entrusted to us.
Remember: authority is stewardship, not ownership. When you choose mercy over judgment, listening over ordering, and restoration over punishment, you reflect God’s character and create a space where people can flourish.
How you treat the least among you is the clearest measure of your leadership.
- Philippians 2 on Christ’s humility and servant leadership.
- Micah 6:8 calling leaders to act justly and love mercy.
- Proverbs passages about ruling with wisdom and restraint.

Secret sin
You are not defined by your secret. Confession opens the door to healing; grace meets us when we step into the light.
We carry hidden things because we fear judgment more than we fear the cost of silence.
Secrets grow roots in the dark and shape our choices without our consent.
When we bring a secret into the light, we do not erase the past, but we begin to loosen its hold.
Truth spoken to a safe person and to God begins a slow work of restoration. Healing is rarely instant, but every honest step is a step toward freedom.
If you are afraid, start small. Name the truth to yourself, then choose one trustworthy person to share it with. Let grace, not shame, be the measure of your next step. You are not alone in this journey.
Prayer
Lord, give me courage to speak what I have hidden. Replace my shame with your mercy and lead me into honest relationships that heal. Help me take the next right step and trust that your grace is greater than my past.
If this spoke to you, save the video and share it with someone who needs courage. If you want a short guide for how to choose a safe person to tell, comment “Ready” and we shall post it.
