🎨 Local Artists – This One Is For You

The City of Red Deer is inviting artists to submit exhibition proposals for Viewpoint Gallery and the Corridor Community Gallery.

These City-run gallery spaces provide opportunities for artists to share their work with the community and showcase visual art from across Central Alberta.

The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Artists working in a wide range of visual media are encouraged to apply, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, ceramics, fibre arts, film, and more. Applicants must be Canadian residents, with preference given to artists from Red Deer and Central Alberta.

As the City noted in the announcement:

“This call for proposals is an opportunity for artists at different stages of their careers to share their work in welcoming, community-focused spaces,” said Marli Hadden, Community & Program Facilitator. “We encourage artists working in all visual media to apply.”

Exhibitions typically run two to three months, with selected proposals scheduled for remaining exhibition spaces in 2026 and throughout 2027.
