Medicine Hat SPCA has had one of the most terrible things happen during a 40° heat wave!
Their Air Con has crapped out.

Dogs are pushing their beds away to lay on concrete, cats are panting, other little critters are starting to lose energy, and the workers are trying to keep up in blistering heat inside.
