This year’s theme, Celebrate Differences, encourages us to move beyond awareness toward acceptance and inclusion, which reflects The Salvation Army’s values of compassion and supporting every person in our community.
Did you know? In Canada, over a quarter of a million families are impacted by autism spectrum disorders. The Salvation Army supports many of these families through tailored programs that help children and adults build skills and confidence, such as 1:1 literacy, art classes, and social skills training.

❄️🏅 Community Venture Winter Olympics 2026 ❄️🏅
Two weeks ago, CV members from all six locations across the city came together for an incredible Winter Olympics! The two action packed days were filled with laughter, fun, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments for everyone involved.
Congratulations to all medal winners, and a big round of applause to everyone who participated. Everyone who took part received participation ribbons in recognition of their success in completing the events and their achievements. You are all champions! 🥇🏅👏
A big shoutout to CV Henderson for hosting and organizing this massive event. Their time, effort, and dedication made it enjoyable for everyone. 💞
Thanks to Angus Mackay School for allowing us to use their space, giving our members the chance to enjoy real curling and making the day even more memorable. 🥌 💞

What an incredible way to honor this important month at CV Henderson! We are so proud to recognize and work alongside dedicated staff who created meaningful opportunities for our members and team to fully embrace and experience the richness of culture, heritage, and tradition.
Through the preparation of amazing authentic foods, vibrant art, and engaging conversations about the rich history and significance of Black History Month, the day was both educational and inspiring.
Kudos to everyone who took the time to contribute and make this event a resounding success! It was truly a day filled with delicious food, powerful learning experiences, cultural appreciation, and fun for all. 👏👏👏
