Lost Parade

Out of the fog, a new horizon asunder.

It's been quiet on here but not for a lack of work! We've been working on nine songs (so far) and things are rolling behind the scenes. Can't wait to realize these tunes and present them to the world.

Time to bring these songs beyond the "demo" stage and begin to realize their true potential!

It was 25 years ago that Daren and Jamie first met, at a mutual friends house, connecting over music past and present, from the Beatles to T-Rex to Jane's Addiction (and all things in-between). Over the years, their bond grew stronger and in the mid-2000s, launched the improvisational open jam night "Vice Aerial" at the Avalon Front. In 2008, the duo finally united in a music project, The Golden Hands Before God, before Daren stepped away from the project soon after Jamie joined the project.

The two would finally get the chance to work together several years later in the indie rock outfit Magic Hall of Mirrors, but it would be in 2011 that the two would form the vision for the band the unquiet dead, an indie-folk supergroup who played locally and on tour, including appearances at North By Northeast (NXNE) in 2012 and 2013 as well as Canadian Music Week (2012, 2013), as well as locally with such festivals as Fork & Cork, Phog Phest, and Harvesting The FAM. In April of 2012, the band released their debut album, "Tales of the unquiet dead: Volume One" to critical acclaim.

In 2014, Jamie left the band to focus on his new fatherhood, while Daren launched the powerhouse jam band Vice Aerial (named after the prior improv night) and has continued to rock around the area ever since. For Jamie, he thought his musical journey was over.

For the past year, the two have been trading lyrical ideas and in the spring of 2025, some of these ideas turned into melodies, which, in turn, turned into brand new songs, the first new songs from the Dobsky-Greer partnership in 12 years.

Now, with a handful of new songs showcasing their long-standing love of all things musical, the duo are banding together as LOST PARADE, a new project to hit the local Windsor music scene in the coming months!
