🌟MEET LILO🌟

We thought we would share Lilo’s story to help raise awareness for the importance of fostering and adopting older dogs! If you are interested in adopting or fostering an older dog please reach out to your local shelter to help make a difference, just like Lilo’s family!💛🐶

“Hi - My name is Lilo and I’m a senior! I’ve lived a few different lives in my 12 years, some good, some not so good. A couple years ago my second family moved away, they were going to bring me with them but it didn’t work out. I was staying with some friends but they couldn’t take care of me long term so they helped me find a new home. It was a little scary because I’m older and had a hard time getting around, but I’m really nice and very smart so just had to meet the right people who would love me for me! 

After a couple months I met my new family - they saw my picture and had to meet me. After meeting them they knew I was meant to be a part of their family. I was a bit nervous at first, I didn’t know anything about them and I had never been to their house, they were really patient with me and gave me lots of comfy places to rest so I could start to feel safe and trust that they were nice people.

Now I’m really happy to be a part of their family! They take really good care of me and I have a new lease on life - I can’t stop wagging my tail! They keep telling me I deserve to be loved and spoiled in my golden years, that all older dogs like me deserve to love like this, and I agree!”

This is a tough post. I’ve been dog sitting for a year now and Maddy was my first…We bonded from the moment we met. She stayed with me often and we had so much fun together. Tragically she crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 on April 18. I loved Maddy so much and I will miss her. Her mother is absolutely devastated. My ❤️ goes out to her mom . I'm so glad I got to capture Maddy and in all her cuteness!

I hope she is running like the wind on the other side.....tongue hanging out.....feeling all the love she is getting.

I’m speechless. Grizzly has been so much fun to dogsit for the week and he makes an incredible model to photograph!!! Can anyone name the breed???

I had the best week dog sitting Grizzly and then I made him a model for !!! Such a good boy!
