We’re back with another feature, where each month we showcase a different Chamber member. This month’s feature is Hattie Root of Hattie Root Photography!

"Hattie Root Photography was born out of my desire to create a career I enjoyed and allowed me to have a balanced lifestyle. At first, I tried every type of photography but quickly learned my passion was for people and products. My business took off once I focused in on my strengths. That meant learning to manage more clients and refine my processes so that my quality of service remained high. I found the Prodigy Group as I was looking to find a place within the business community in Victoria. Through networking at mingles, I have established partnerships with other like-minded businesses. I recently had the opportunity to travel to Nepal with Robinson's Outdoor Store. Experiences like that fuel my creativity and desire to capture the authenticity of life. Whether I am taking photos of the first look at a wedding or directing a stylized brand shoot, my goal is to craft a story through images. My advice to aspiring photographers is to start taking photos of everything, and I mean everything even with your iPhone. There is no secret to taking the perfect photo; it's about understanding all the elements that go into a good image."

Himalayas, here we go!! 🏔 This photo was taken at the start of the Everest Base Camp Trek. Thanks to for making the trip possible. What a wild time!

Here’s a fun fact! You can often find me bombing around town on my motorbike 🏍 It’s one of the big loves in life, aside from photography. I recently toured through the Foothills of the Himalayas on a motorbike & cannot WAIT to show you more from that trip!

Spring is coming up quickly and it’s getting me so excited! I can’t wait to share alllll the photos from my Himalayan trip. Until then I’ll be filling your feed with some past adventures and fun times!
