As a journalist I almost never post about politicians, but I am making an exception today upon hearing of the passing of John Horgan. When I left my job as a written news reporter to go into a new role in video journalism, kindly reached out and congratulated me on my new position. He told me he too was excited to move into a new role soon himself. Months later he was premier of British Columbia. John was kind, generous, passionate and could even nerd out on Star Trek, all qualities I value in a human being. I am so sad to hear of his passing today. This my favourite photo I took of him over his years in office, and how I will to remember him. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in Peace.
