Something transformative is coming to Vancouver Island. The new BC Cancer Nanaimo Centre, opening in 2028, will bring world-class cancer care right to the heart of this community.

And today, you can make twice the difference. Thanks to the generosity of the Auxiliary Society for Comox Valley Healthcare, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000.

Your support will help equip the centre with advanced technology and ease the burden for families across central and north Vancouver Island.

Double your impact. Change lives close to home. https://bccancerfoundation.com/comox-match

For years, Richard Hewitt supported cancer research — but it took a personal loss to shift how he thought about donating.

After learning more about legacy giving, Richard made the decision to include BC Cancer Foundation in his will — ensuring that future breakthroughs in cancer care can continue while honouring the people who meant the most to him.

Through the fund he created in his partner Lee’s name, his ongoing support and legacy gift, Richard is helping turn loss into lasting impact and hope for others facing cancer.
