Friends - thank you for last night’s celebratory pot luck, for the behind-the-scenes organizing (so impressed that Adele was tasked with sussing out my silver/gold preferences), for your presence and contributions of words and food. And for the salal and cedar pendants and chain, which I am so enjoying. Salal and Cedar - our matron saints!
I look forward to moving into the future with the community. You give me hope to hold up against the chaos that threatens us and the world.

A message from community member Adele. The light always returns, and much of the light in my life this past year has come through the Salal + Cedar community and all its relations. Thank you.
Even the rocks cry out. These rocks came together on Invermere Beach in Nanaimo when we were deciding whether to move to BC or stay in Ontario. And we found a home here. May you have joy this Christmas, in both dubious and delightful circumstances.
