The orchid symbolizes resilience, love, and elegance. Growing in strange places and requiring special care, these graceful flowers can grow and bloom for months and months, representing long-lasting love. The yellow orchid is given as a gift to celebrate new beginnings.

The Huckleberry (Vaccinium parvifolium), has never been successfullydomesticated. It's tartly sweet, antioxidant-packed berries are perfect for the human diet, but are not easily replanted because of the sensitivity of its root system. So,when we encounter the huckleberry in its natural environment, we can be sure it'sgrowing where it's meant to. Looking at its cup-like flowers or crimson fruits, we canlet it remind us that embracing our sensitivities meansmaintaining our liberation;resisting places that don't nurture us means thriving in places that do.
