Canadian Animal Task Force

Frog Lake First Nation brought us big numbers, full days, and one seriously impressive team effort. 🐾💙💚
Over one weekend in May, 416 animals came through the Frog Lake clinic for spay/neuter, vaccines, tattoos, parasite treatment, medical support, rescue placement, and care.
Behind every crate number was a dedicated team working incredibly hard to care for each animal, guide them through the clinic process, and help make it all happen.
What makes these numbers especially impressive is the team behind them.
This clinic was powered by a small but mighty medical crew, including eager RVTs, students, experienced mentors, and volunteers willing to jump in wherever needed. With an average of five surgery tables running each day and around 30 volunteers supporting the medical area, they accomplished an incredible amount over one weekend.
And yet, it's hard not to imagine what could be possible with a few more veterinary professionals and clinic volunteers on the team. *Yes, this is a nudge!* 😼
Every additional person helps increase capacity, support patient care, and create opportunities for more animals to access services.
Time got a little crunchy, the days were eventful, and the pace was steady… even in the dark! but this team absolutely rocked it.
Together over one weekend:
🔹 416 animals attended the clinic
🔹 275 animals were spayed/neutered
🔹 9 animals received additional medical treatment
🔹 137 dogs and cats were placed with rescue organizations for fresh starts
🔹 7 animals received extra care before being reunited with their families
Breaking that down even further:
🐶 91 dog spays 🐶 79 dog neuters
🐱 49 cat spays 🐱 56 cat neuters
Every surgery, every vaccine, every tattoo, every treatment, every intake, and every safe return home plays a role in improving animal health and supporting families in the community. These clinics are a lot to pull together, and Frog Lake was a powerful reminder of what collaboration, commitment, and heart can accomplish in just one weekend.
A heartfelt thank you to Humane World for Animals Canada for supporting our First Nations clinics and helping make accessible veterinary care possible in communities that need support.

Priorities. ✨
When Twiggs returned home after his neuter with the Task Force he had exactly one thing on the agenda.
The moment his crate door opened, he was off on a mission — straight to his favourite stuffy.
No exploring. No snacks. No catching up.
Just a determined trot across the yard, toy secured, and all was right in the world again. 💙💚
Safe to say someone was pretty delighted to be reunited with their very special friend.

Super Sunday has arrived and Team Task Force is HUSTLING. ⚡️🐾
Even when the lights unexpectedly went out for a short stretch this morning… clinic flow barely skipped a beat. Surgery continued moving, recovery kept rolling, and this incredible team adapted like the well-oiled machine they are. 😼
Final spay/neuter surgeries are now underway, while cats and dogs continue heading home to their families all day long after receiving care.
A heartfelt thank you to the members of Frog Lake First Nation for the warm welcome, kindness, and trust placed in us to care for beloved companion animals throughout the weekend. It’s a privilege to work alongside this community once again. 💙💚
And while all of this is happening… our 50/50 is also heating up 👀💰
