“Nature must be our guide and companion. We’ve managed to restore the soil and vegetation of our estates for grape production that respects the environment." - Mireia Tetas Jose
Meet Pinord | Bodega familiar desde 1942 - Founded in 1942 in Vilafranca del Penedès.
First winery in Spain to make a sparkling wine (they called it "vino de aguja" — needle wine, for the prickle of the bubbles ✨).
First winery in Spain to be certified biodynamic by Biodynamic Federation Demeter International.
Basically: if there's a "first" in Spanish wine, there's a good chance Pinord got there first.
And today? The vineyards are led by the next generation who talks about biodynamics like it's a love language — moon cycles, living soil, owls and bats as pest control instead of chemicals. 🦉🦇
The winery itself runs on solar. The roof is a green roof. The wines are vegan. It's serious farming wrapped in genuinely fun, modern packaging. 🛍
We're pouring "+&+" Cava Brut and Clos de Torribas Crianza on July 22 — come and taste because 🇪🇸 will instantly find a place in your heart, in your cellar and on your wine lists. 🍾🍷

Let us tell you a story about Luigi and Stefano Sutto. 🍷
Two brothers from Campo di Pietra, a small village in the province of Treviso, Veneto. Their family has been making wine since 1933. And over the last 30 years, Luigi and Stefano have quietly built that legacy into something remarkable: three wineries, four SuttoWine locations, two restaurants, a hotel, 130 people and still, unmistakably, a family business with its feet in the soil.
Farm covers the wine: the flagship Sutto winery in the Piave, Batíso in the Valdobbiadene hills, and Polje in the Collio of Friuli. All three farmed sustainably. All three rooted in place.
We're bringing selected wines to Ontario this Summer and you can taste them at "The First Pour" on July 22nd in Toronto:
🥂 Sutto Prosecco DOC Brut — Glera from the province of Treviso. Floral, citrusy, a whisper of fresh yeast. Dry and savory in the best possible way.
🍋 Sutto Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie — Pale, mineral, hazelnut and chamomile on the nose. A wine with genuine personality and that deep Caranto limestone soil written all through it.
Two wines. One family. Ninety years of doing it right.
See you July 22. 🌿 | DM to get on our list.

📸 ➡️ Panzano ➡️ Chianti 🍷🇮🇹
A family, their land, and a dedication to doing things right and looking to the future. It's a feeling that you can taste in the wines, see in the vineyard and hear in the conversations we've had since.
Cultivating connections is our EVERYTHING and we're unbelievably proud to be working with and for this family and welcoming them to ours. We have a feeling this is the beginning of something really special. 🤝🌿

Things are moving along very nicely in the vineyard La Casaccia di Franceschi ☀️🌿🍇
Verso la fioritura!
La vigna accelera ogni giorno di più.
I grappoli iniziano a formarsi e tra poco arriverà uno dei momenti più delicati dell’anno.
Da qui in avanti si inizia davvero a immaginare la vendemmia 🍃

✨️🌿 as Spring finally rolls into S. Ontario, here, at home, we're sharing pics from our Loire trip earlier this month.
Jordin spent time on the ground in Centre-Loire, tasting through one of France's most underrated regions. Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé you know. But Menetou-Salon, Quincy, Reuilly, Côte Giennoise?
Let's take a look:
🪨 **Four soil types. Four personalities.**
Flint (silex) brings smoke. Marl-limestone adds structure. Limestone keeps things lean and fresh. Sand goes fruit-forward. The result is wines that taste *different* vineyard to vineyard, village to village.
📜 **Not a new story, but a proven one.**
Sancerre and Quincy earned AOC status in 1936. Pouilly-Fumé and Reuilly in 1937. Some of the very first AOCs in France. Deep roots, long track record, history.
And then there is simply Spring in the 🌱🌦 but we'll let our photos speak for themselves.
