🌟 Today, we proudly represented Obesity Matters at "The Next Era of Healthcare in Canada: Cross-Sector Collaboration and the Power of Partnership" event hosted by Lilly Canada & The Economic Club of Canada marking the dual milestones of Lilly Canada's 85th anniversary and the 100th year since Lilly's collaboration with the University of Toronto, a partnership that was instrumental in bringing insulin to the global stage.
The panel was a powerhouse of insights with Andre Picard, Jane Barratt, Dr. Mark Lachman, Dave Ricks, and the inspiring Hon. Lisa Raitt, whose heartfelt journey as a caregiver for her husband with early-stage Alzheimer's showed the raw side of health struggles that resonated deeply with us. The discussion highlighted the critical role of long-term care, advocacy activation, and strong partnerships in healthcare. 💚
