A heartfelt thank you to the team at 407 ETR for spending the day with us during a Team Experience Day! 🐾
Experiences like these create a lasting impact for the animals in our care while giving teams a meaningful way to connect, work together, and give back to their community!
Whether it's preparing pet food donations, making custom bracelets, or learning more about how we support animals and pet owners across Toronto, every activity helps make a difference and supports our mission to strengthen the human animal bond.
The support of corporate partners like 407 etr plays an important role in making our programs possible, including veterinary care, pet food support, humane education, and so much more.

Because of your incredible generosity, a truck full of essential pet supplies made its way north this weekend to support communities affected by the Northern Ontario wildfires. ❤️
These donations will help provide comfort and care for pets and families during an incredibly challenging time. To everyone who donated supplies or helped make this possible—thank you. Your kindness is making a real difference.

Northern Ontario needs our help.
Wildfires continue to impact communities across Northwestern Ontario, and pets and families are among those needing support. Toronto Humane Society is hosting a supply drive in partnership with Northern Reach, a hub supporting communities affected by the wildfires.
From July 15–17, we’re collecting essential pet supplies at our lobby to help provide care and comfort to animals in impacted areas.
They are looking for donations of:
🐾 Plastic crates (medium, large, and extra large)
🐾 Large wire crates
🐾 Collars (including martingale collars) and leashes — all sizes
🐾 Bowls
🐾 P*e pads
📍 Drop-off location:
Toronto Humane Society Lobby
11 River Street, Toronto
🕒 Donation hours:
Monday–Friday: 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
A designated collection area will be available in our lobby for all Northern Ontario wildfire relief donations. Collected supplies will be delivered to Northern Reach on July 18 to help support pets and families impacted by the wildfires. Thank you for showing up for animals and communities across Ontario. 💚
Adoptable Animals Presented by Amazon: Schick
Age: 1 Year
S*x: Female
Say hello to Schick - a silly young lady who is ready to take on the world!
Schick came into our care with a wiggle in her nose and a twinkle in her eye. She spends her days hopping around and exploring every corner of her space. She is a very energetic rabbit who would love to have a large space to run around in with lots of toys to play with.
Schick does not currently live with any rabbit friends, but she is very interested in her bunny neighbours in shelter. She can often be seen hopping over to their shared glass wall, peering into their space and curiously watching what they are up to! With proper introduction time she may do very well as a second rabbit in the home.
Schick loves veggie treats, especially kale and lettuce! She is still settling in with us at the shelter, and is warming up to short petting sessions. With patience, trust, and love, she will blossom into the silly, sweet, and cuddly bunny she was born to be!
Visit us at 11 River Street to speak with an Adoption Agent and begin the adoption process.
