Republicans are already laying the groundwork to scream “rigged” in California if the results don’t hand them exactly what they want — and Megyn Kelly just said the quiet part out loud. When you declare “no one is going to trust this outcome” if Steve Hilton and Spencer Pratt don’t make the general election, you’re not defending democracy, you’re threatening it.

This is the GOP’s entire election philosophy now: “I only trust the result if my side wins.” They were perfectly fine with slow counts, mail ballots, and late-breaking updates when those dynamics worked in their favor in red states, and they had no problem certifying results when Republicans came out on top. But the second the numbers shift toward Democrats — exactly as expected in states like California that count masses of mail ballots after Election Day — suddenly it’s fraud, cheating, or some shadowy conspiracy.

They’re not even pretending to believe in the will of the voters anymore. Instead, they’re leaning on manufactured chaos, baseless “stop the count” rhetoric, and Trump-style lies about cheating — the same playbook that’s been rejected in court over and over again. If you only accept the legitimacy of an election when your guy wins, that’s not patriotism. That’s authoritarianism.

And here’s the thing: they’re turning to dishonesty, gerrymandering, and voter suppression precisely because they know they can’t win on the merit of their policies or their deeply unpopular legislation. If your agenda is tax cuts for billionaires, bans on bodily autonomy, attacks on LGBTQ+ people, and dismantling voting rights, of course you don’t want a fair, high-turnout democracy — you want as few people voting as possible, in maps rigged to protect your power.

We need to stop treating this as just “partisan spin” and call it what it is: a coordinated effort to condition their base to reject any election they lose. The answer isn’t to cave to their tantrums — it’s to loudly defend every legal vote, support officials doing the work of counting ballots in full, and call out this “I don’t trust the result unless I win” nonsense every single time it shows up.

President Trump abruptly ended a tense "Meet the Press" interview and stormed off after getting in a heated exchange with the host over various topics including election fraud, California's vote count and his proposed "anti-weaponization" fund.

"You’re a one-sided crooked network," Trump said. "Sorry. Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough."

BREAKING: Federal Lawsuit Filed to Shut Down Trump's UFC Fight at the White House

A nonprofit legal group has gone to federal court to block a UFC fight card scheduled for the White House South Lawn on June 14, timed to coincide with President Trump's 80th birthday and the nation's 250th anniversary celebration.

The Public Integrity Project filed the lawsuit Saturday on behalf of two Virginia residents, arguing that the Trump administration broke the law by authorizing the event. According to the filing, the event violates National Park Service regulations that prohibit sporting events on federal parklands, construction of the towering arch overlooking the fight area was never approved by Congress, and no environmental review was completed before crews began building the structure.

"This is fundamentally a private, commercial, corrupt use of our most sacred national monuments for private gain," said attorney Brendan Ballou, who represents the plaintiffs.

The White House fired back, calling the lawsuit "obstructionist, baseless, and dilatory," and claiming the event is no different from other White House-hosted gatherings that have been properly permitted on the South Lawn and nearby federal grounds.

Crews are already on site erecting an octagon-shaped cage. Trump has described the finished venue as "a 5,000-seat arena right outside the front door of the White House," with additional giant screens at the nearby Ellipse and up to 85,000 free tickets planned for the public.

BREAKING: Knicks Fans Slam Trump for Canceling Watch Party Outside MSG

New York Knicks fans are furious after learning that President Donald Trump plans to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, with his visit triggering sweeping security restrictions that have already upended the experience for thousands of supporters.

Trump accepted an invitation from Knicks owner James Dolan to attend Monday's game against the San Antonio Spurs, but his presence comes at a steep cost to everyday fans. The Secret Service and MSG jointly announced that attendees must arrive two hours early and comply with a strict no-bag policy. Surrounding streets have been closed off, and a popular outdoor watch party that had offered fans a free alternative to the sky-high ticket prices was scrapped entirely because of the president's visit.

Knicks fans wasted no time making their displeasure known online. The fan account Knicks Memes called out Trump for killing the atmosphere around what should be a once-in-a-generation moment, pointing out that the franchise is playing its first NBA Finals home game since 1999. Another fan account warned that the security bottleneck would drain the energy right out of the arena and hand away the home court advantage the Knicks have earned.

ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith weighed in as well, saying Trump is simultaneously contributing to and creating the chaos descending on MSG.

The backlash was sharpened by Trump's own response when reporters pointed out that many everyday New Yorkers simply cannot afford to attend. Tickets start above $9,000. The president told fans who are priced out to just watch from home, adding that "that's the way life goes."

For a city that is two wins away from its first NBA championship in over 50 years, that answer landed like a brick.
