Hey Folx 👋🏼

I thought it was a good time to introduce myself, the human behind the camera & co-creator of these images. I’m Meaghan :)

Here’s a little bit about me:

- I am q***r, a mother of 2, a wife/partner, neurodiverse (ADHD) & 1st gen Canadian.
- I am a Registered Social Worker and I practice as a Trauma Therapist.
- I am a Sensitive Person/Empath. I feel deeply, and I am moved easily. I see beauty everywhere, as well as suffering. Since a young age, I have been attuned to the suffering/heartache/pain in people and in the collective (global society, nature). When I was young I experienced this as a burden, and now I believe it to be a gift. This awareness influences every aspect of my life.
- I am a critical thinker, learner/unlearner, knowledge-, truth-, and equity-seeker. I am committed to living in accordance with my values: anti-oppression, anti-racism, anti-colonialism, anti-capitalism, feminism.
- Every aspect of my life is political. The political is personal, and the personal is political. I care deeply about humanity. Who I am, my history, and what is happening in my immediate community and in the world informs how I show up with every person I interact with and photograph. Therefore, given that the Israel is in the process of eradicating all of the Palestinian people in Gaza as I write this, it is important that I use this opportunity to tell you this:
- There is absolutely no acceptable justification for genocide. None. Literally none.
- I CONDEMN genocide
- I CONDEMN apartheid
- I CONDEMN every government, including mine (), that is participatory in genocide
- Your voice matters; put pressure on our gov’t to put pressure on Israel to CEASE FIRE NOW;
- My heart is broken and yet I won’t turn away. We should all be uncomfortable. And we should all take action. NO ONE IS FREE UNTIL WE ARE *ALL* FREE.
