5 years ago today, I officially walked away from the 9 to 5! 🎉
And you know what? I’ve never looked back.

I’d been unhappy for a long time. Anxious. Exhausted. Feeling like my days were slipping away on things that didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. You know that moment when you zoom out and think… why am I always on edge? It’s not like I’m saving lives!!

My health was taking a hit.
My kids needed me.
And I wanted my time back.
So I quit.

Yes I was nervous about my decision but continuing felt worse.

My saving grace was my online business. It made the leap feel possible. It gave me income to fall back on, flexibility, new skills, a community, and the confidence that I could build something of my own. It reminded me that I’m more than capable.

Then not long ago, I found my way back to accounting but this time on my terms.

I opened a bookkeeping business specifically for interior designers and it has been such a rewarding shift.

I get to help creatives make sense of their money, I work from home, I choose who I partner with, and I actually enjoy what I do again.

I’m grateful every day for how my online business set me up for this next chapter. It really was the jumping off point.

So… if you’re sitting there wanting something different… it’s never too late to pivot.
