after over a year since I first painted these murals in montreal, they are finally installed and on display !!

but first I had to repaint one of them after the main panel was stolen 🙃

long story short - the restaurant I painted them for .ca is undergoing serious renovations and in order to protect the exterior from more damage, they covered everything in wood panels. Two sections of which carry art i made with the owner’s vision in mind.

you can check out these artworks in person on rue Prince Arthur and Hotel-de-Ville. It is such a romantic street, I was quite literally serenaded each day i was there (check the 2nd last clip for proof)

self portrait study from yesterday 💙👁️🌀 crazy how different it looks in different lightings - I feel the emotion completely changes.

You know I forget sometimes that I can draw/paint realistically. I used to do it all the time in high school but I guess I got bored of just copying a picture so I went the total opposite direction and just started making art from my imagination - no references at all.

I think both ways of making art are valuable and I want to incorporate more references in my art and spend more time with realism.

I think most of you had no idea I could actually draw 😅 just so you know - I can haha and my more stylized art is definitely a choice ! It’s more fun to me, but evidently I am capable of realism and I should put that skill to use more often.

I am even thinking of offering portrait commissions … so message me if that would be something of interest, I need to build a portfolio/confidence in my abilities so I would offer a good deal for the first few.

This process was very cathartic to me - staring into my own eyes for 3 hours, in complete flow state, and now I have a painting staring back at me 👁️💙

Just a reminder to get out of your comfort zone more often 🌀 you never know where it’ll take you 🌊

here are some highlights from yesterday’s photoshoot with my beautiful creative friends and

I’m sooo excited to finally have some pictures to share with you everything I’ve been working on the last two months.

the flower designs are from the ~ ethereal blossoms ~ series 🌷, bloomed out of the creative energy into spring and into summer

and the hats are part of my eye see you collection, an iconic symbol that will stand the test of time 👁️

I love the way everything turned out and I am so grateful to be able to explore and expand creatively in all different ways, like the blooming flower 🌸
