Interesting AWS Machine Learning Blog post shading some light behind the solution architecture for scaling Rufus for Prime Day 2024 and some details about the LLM that powers Rufus ("Rufus is powered by an LLM trained on Amazon’s product catalog and information from across the web").
As per the blog the LLM powering Rufus has multi-billion parameters. ("Rufus is able to reliably deploy and serve its multi-billion-parameter LLM using the Neuron SDK with Inferentia2").
As of now, Amazon never confirmed the rumours about Amazon Olympus AI - World's largest LLM, but I am sure Andy Jassy knows that an Amazon LLM release is a basic pre-requisite for him being able to join the Nvidia, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google execs for meeting talks with White House regarding AI related topics: governance, required energy for data centers etc.
