When I was younger, I was a fan of the band, Savage Garden. One of the songs on their album was about Santa Monica. I remember singing about this place years ago. When I actually got to visit the Santa Monica pier, I looked up the song on Youtube and played it out loud to my husband's embarrassment 😄 but I was having too much fun to care 😂.

Dreaming of Hollywood from Griffith Park...
Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to see the Hollywood sign up close. It's one of those iconic symbols of LA and California that make you think of movies, stars and glamor. On this trip to LA, I finally got to see it from Griffith Park, one of the best places to get a view of the sign and the city. Griffith Park is also home to the Griffith Observatory, another landmark that I love. It was a beautiful day, just before the blizzard hit. I was lucky to see it on that day because the next day it was not visible clearly anymore due to bad weather.
Have you seen the Hollywood sign? I would love to hike closer to it. However, I didn't have the time to do that on this trip. Perhaps, on my next visit!
